It's where the heart is

I spotted this image over at the lovely Global Atelier.

I find it really comforting.

To me, this is what I feel any home should be...comfortable and one which reflects those that inhabit it.

I was seduced by the front cover the other day and promptly ordered it from Amazon having quickly flicked through the pages inside. The beautifully styled imagery sealed the deal.

Cars suck!!

Especially ones which decide to break down....not only halfway up one of the busiest roads in the city, but at rush hour too....arrrgh!

Donkey's are definitely the way forward and so much more reliable I'm sure! I snapped this lovely old man from our car when we were leaving a village in Spain last year.

Emily Chalmers, author, stylist and owner of the truly wonderful shop, Caravan, in East London, has released her new book here in the U.K and if you head on over to Decor8 you can see a full review, alongside beautiful images from the renowned photographer, Debi Treloar. 

We bought the pineapple wall sconce after visiting Emily's shop during a weekend in Shoreditch and I just love it! I've decided it deserves more attention than it's getting in our bedroom, so it's currently awaiting it's new home in the living room....if it ever gets painted that is!
