Is it me, or does time seem to be flying by at the moment? Sometimes, I'd love to hide myself away in a tranquil space like this little library, with no distractions and catch up on all the little things that need to be done. x

Today, I'd like to own...
One of these beauties!
I don't mind which colour, but if someone would like to install one of Roast Designs blown glass chandeliers in our living room while I'm at work that would be great...thank-you! x

Reasons to celebrate
Yesterday, I celebrated "No More Blue Carpet Day"
(...on my own, with an image of bunting in my head!!)

....and tonight, for the first time in 27 years, I'm going to the ballet and I really can't wait!

Eye candy
With Spring upon us and Easter round the corner, it's not surprising I can't seem to get enough of these delicious candy colours.

This Friday, I want to live...
Here.
I know 'I want never gets' but sometimes, you just have to use that word! To me, this is perfection in the form of a house. The bright pink door, the duck egg blue walls, the Wisteria, the railings and that bike....colour co-ordinated and complete with basket too! ...Sigh! Have a happy weekend. x

I'm back.
Last week was a bit of a write-off. Suspected appendicitis does not a productive week make!!! Now that I'm back in the swing of things, I'm thinking a wall like this in the office would be good!
I got a little distracted here today...ok...a lot!
More loveliness, every day from now on. x

Anyone for tea?
Well, I can't believe it's Friday again and to think, this time last week I was Paris-bound!
I thought I'd leave you with this lovely image from the portfolio of Minneapolis design firm, Gunkelman Flesher, which I found over at the ever-inspiring, Desire To Inspire! There's something about this room, which to me, just says 'calm'. In fact, it makes me want to go and bake a cake and drink tea from a china cup! ...Who am I kidding?!
I love the fact that the room is filled with traditional features such as the soft green panelling and the classic furniture pieces, yet it retains a fresh, almost modern feel. Simple and understated. Have a happy weekend folks! x
Something old, something new...
I took these photos today in mum and dad's garden. I really, really love this time of year! The chilly, yet sunny days, beautiful colourful bursts of spring flowers and the lovely sound of birds singing late on into the evening. Bliss.

Paris & Pierre
Well, I can't believe how time's flown since we got back from our lovely little trip. The sun eventually came out on our last evening but Paris is so beautiful, even in the rain, so we didn't mind one bit.
While we were wandering the streets of Saint-Germain, this gorgeous fabric caught my eye in the window of Pierre Frey (not the best snap, sorry!) and I've been meaning to look up the name of it for the last couple of days for future reference. Well, whilst I was flicking through my April issue of Elle Decoration which landed on our doorstep this morning, what do you think I should find?!!!
Thank-you E.D! Job done!
Have a look through their 2010 Spring/Summer pattern book section for some other lovely new fabrics!
